Basic Concept: Three or four, 8-foot long solar trough collectors will concentrate sunlight onto boiling chambers creating steam. The steam is piped past a turbine that is connected to a generator. As the steam speeds past the turbine fins, it spins the fan, generating torque. The torque is used to turn the generator, creating electricity. The steam is then funneled into a condenser, where it is cooled back to liquid, and returned to a holding tank.
